Rubber is a Philly-born, LA-based Pop R&B project fronted by singer-lyricist, Andrew Loper, with multi-instrumentalist, John Della Franco leading production. Rubber creates an emotional soundscape combining their R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Hyper Pop and Soul influences like Frank Ocean, Thundercat, SZA, Yebba, and Charli XCX while staying true to that hot-pink, dynamic feeling of pop music, anthemic and universal. The project shines the brightest in a live setting where their combination of bass-driven grooves and vocal acrobatics has grabbed and held the attention of audiences across the country.

Andrew and John began writing songs in 2017 for fun. After their first performance at a campus coffee shop, they began working with Temple University's student-run record label to release their breakout debut single 'Control'. The track caught the attention of NPR’s 88.5FM leading to an NPR Live Session, performances at Wawa Welcome America Festival, the Philadelphia Edition of the Vans: Spirit of DIY Series, and sending them on their first East Coast tour with the support of Sofar Sounds.

After cancelling their tour to SXSW 2020, Rubber released an emotionally intimate live acoustic EP called ‘Left Out’ in January of 2021, bringing them their first major editorial success on Spotify. They followed that up with late-night drive anthem, ‘Vitamin E’ which took TikTok by storm launching the band into the spotlight. The release campaign for 'Vitamin E' saw 1.2 million impressions in the first month on IG and 100k TikTok views.

The success of 'Vitamin E' provided Rubber with the opportunity to work with Vice Music and Munchies on a Climate Action Focused Livestream Benefit event, be sponsored by Urban Outfitters, and perform for Love+Grit in partnership with LiveNation Urban.

In 2022, Rubber was featured on KCRW, leading to their first sold out show in LA and their hit single 'Vitamin E' passing 1 million streams. With a strong foothold in LA, Rubber made the cross country leap, making a big splash in town with a Puma x SoundCloud activation and a performance at the Stereofox and Forbes acclaimed music curator, Annabelle Kline's showcase: Sunday Sounds.
